Hello! I’m Frankie Heming, the owner and maker behind Tactical Pterodactyl Knives.

My interest in knives started early. What began as collecting quickly turned into a deeper curiosity about how knives are made—different steels, heat treatments, and the details that separate a good knife from a great one. Over time, that curiosity grew into a pursuit of building knives myself.

By the grace of God, what started as a hobby has grown into the work I get to do every day.

Every knife is made in small batches with a focus on real-world performance, durability, and clean, purposeful design. These are tools built to be carried, used, and relied on—whether in everyday tasks or harder use when it matters most.

I’m committed to continually improving through testing new steels, refining heat treat processes, and paying attention to the details that make a difference over time.
