FAQ

How can I buy one of your knives?

New batches are listed on the website for sale one to two times a month. If you would like to be notified when new products are available, sign up for the email list.

Do you take custom orders?

No. As a one man shop, my main focus is on producing quality batches in order to serve a wider customer base.

How much do your knives cost?

Check out the Models page for a rundown of our most popular sizes and styles.

Do you stand behind your product?

All Tactical Pterodactyl Knives come with an Unlimited Transferable Lifetime Warranty. This covers any kind of defect in material and workmanship. The warranty does not cover misuse – basically, anything short of trying to break it will be covered. It doesn't matter if you are the first owner, the 25th owner, or you found it on the side of the road. If it's got my logo, it's covered.

Can I get a second set of handle scales in another color?

Each set of scales is textured by hand and made for each individual knife. As such, I do not offer extra sets at this time.

I use my knife all the time. Will you re-do the finish?

Yes. Because the finish does not affect the knife’s performance, there is a small fee of $20 which includes return shipping. This price includes sandblasting the blade, re-doing the finish, oiling the handles and restoring the razor sharp edge.

Will you sharpen my Tactical Pterodactyl knife?

Yes, all knives come with free unlimited knife sharpening. You only pay for the return shipping.

What kind of steel do you use?

My primary steel is CPM Cruwear. I do often use Nitro-V or S90V for a stainless option.

How do I care for my Tactical Pterodactyl knife?

All knives, regardless of steel, need to be cleaned and oiled regularly. There are many products on the market for this purpose, or you could use something as simple as WD-40. Should any light surface rust form, you may rub lightly with a stiff towel and some WD-40 or a rust eraser in the direction of the grain. If the scales need to be removed for cleaning, all of the screws that I use are either a torx T10 or a hex 2.5.
