FAQ

Drops & Availability

How can I buy one of your knives?

Knives are released in small batches through scheduled drops on the website.
Joining the drop list is the best way to be notified before new products go live.

How often do you release new knives?

We release knives in small batches throughout the year. Most drops are announced in advance through our email list.

Why do knives sell out so quickly?

Each knife is made in limited quantities. Once a drop goes live, inventory can move quickly.

How can I make sure I don’t miss a drop?

Join the drop list to be notified before each release. That’s the best way to stay up to date.

Will you restock sold-out models?

Many models return over time, but not always in the same steel or configuration. Each drop may be a little different.

Do you take custom orders?

We’re not able to offer custom orders at this time.

We focus on small-batch drops instead, with a variety of models, steels, and configurations released throughout the year.

Orders & Shipping

When will my order ship?

Most orders ship within 1-2 business days unless otherwise noted on the product page.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, we ship internationally. Shipping rates and delivery times will vary based on location.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If you need to make a change, contact us as soon as possible. Once an order has shipped, we’re unable to modify it.

Materials & Construction

What steels do you use?

We regularly work with steels like MagnaCut, CruWear, S45VN, and CPM 3V. Each drop may feature different options, but all are chosen for toughness, edge retention, and real-world performance.

Are your knives made in the USA?

Yes, all TPK knives are made in the USA.

Do specs vary between drops?

Yes. Steel, finishes, and handle materials can vary from drop to drop. Be sure to check the product page for exact details.

Can I get a second set of handle scales in another color?

We do not offer additional sets of handle scales. Each set is individually fitted and textured by hand for a specific knife.

Use, Care & Maintenance

Do your knives come with a sheath?

Yes. Each knife includes a custom-fit Kydex sheath.

Can I carry these for everyday use?

Yes—our knives are designed for everyday carry and real-world use. Carry methods may vary based on personal preference and local laws.

Can you refinish my knife?

Yes—we offer refinishing services.

Because the finish does not affect performance, there is a small fee of $20, which includes return shipping. This service includes re-blasting the blade, restoring the finish, conditioning the handle, and returning the knife with a sharp edge.

Do you offer sharpening services?

Yes. All TPK knives come with free, unlimited sharpening. You only cover the cost of return shipping.

How do I care for my knife?

All knives benefit from regular cleaning and light oiling.

After use, wipe the blade clean and apply a light coat of oil to protect against moisture. Products designed for knife maintenance work well, but something as simple as WD-40 can also be used.

If light surface rust appears, it can usually be removed with a cloth or rust eraser, working in the direction of the finish.

Warranty

Do you stand behind your product?

Yes—all Tactical Pterodactyl Knives are backed by an unlimited, transferable lifetime warranty.

What does the warranty cover?

If there’s ever an issue with materials or workmanship, we’ll make it right.

The warranty does not cover misuse, but anything short of intentional damage is covered.

It doesn’t matter if you’re the first owner or the tenth—if it has our logo, it’s covered.
